Overview

This role leverages healthcare data to drive strategic decision-making, optimize clinical performance, and improve patient outcomes in a Managed Services Organization (MSO).

 

Location: Hybrid/Verona, NJ office (first 3 months will be in person in Verona, NJ office)

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 annual salary

Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Management:

  • Extract, analyze, and interpret clinical and claims data to identify trends and insights supporting strategic initiatives.
  • Work with structured and unstructured data to support population health management, risk stratification, and quality reporting.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, data pipelines, and automation processes for streamlined reporting.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.

Data Visualization & Reporting:

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards, scorecards, and reports using Tableau, Power BI.
  • Generate reports supporting quality programs (HEDIS, Medicare Advantage Star Ratings, ACO performance metrics).
  • Present data-driven insights to data leaders, clinical teams, and operational staff.\Provide training and support to stakeholders on data interpretation and utilization.

Strategic Insights & Business Intelligence:

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue optimization, and performance improvements within value-based care contracts.
  • Support risk stratification, patient segmentation, and predictive analytics.
  • Assess provider performance and develop data-driven recommendations for care coordination and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with IT, finance, and clinical teams to support contracting strategies and population health programs.

Technology & Tool Implementation:

  • Support the selection, implementation, and optimization of data analytics tools and business intelligence solutions.
  • Work with EHRs, claims databases, and cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to extract and analyze data.
  • Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure seamless data ingestion and transformation.
  • Optimize data collection, integration, and visualization tools in collaboration with IT teams.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Communication:

  • Act as a liaison between clinical teams, finance, and IT to align data analytics with business objectives.
  • Work closely with clinicians and care teams to align data insights with care management interventions.
  • Deliver presentations and insights to senior leadership, demonstrating how data impacts quality improvement, financial performance, and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare informatics, Data Analytics, Public Health, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, clinical data analysis, or business intelligence within an MSO, primary care group, or clinically integrated network (CIN).

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating healthcare datasets.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
  • Knowledge of Python, R, or SAS for statistical analysis is a plus.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data sources, risk adjustment models, HEDIS, and quality metrics.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and ETL processes.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, APIs).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with value-based care analytics, ACO reporting, or payer-provider collaboration.
  • Knowledge of machine learning applications in healthcare analytics.
  • Understanding of data governance best practices, including HIPAA compliance and data security

     

Compensation and Benefits:

 

The annualized anticipated base annual salary for this Healthcare Data Coordinator ranges from $65,000 to $85,000. Additionally, this position offers an opportunity for annual bonus, and other benefits.

 

Other benefits offered include a 401K retirement savings plan, paid time off (vacation/personal days, holidays, and sick time), and health benefits (medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance).
