Overview

This role leverages healthcare data to drive strategic decision-making, optimize clinical performance, and improve patient outcomes in a Managed Services Organization (MSO).

 

Location: Hybrid/Verona, NJ office (first 3 months will be in person in Verona, NJ office)

Department: Clinical Data Analytics

Reports to: Manager Clinical Data Analytics

Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Management

  • Extract, analyze, and interpret clinical, claims, and administrative data to support strategic initiatives and population health programs.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, ETL pipelines, and automated processes to streamline data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards across all datasets and platforms.

Data Visualization & Reporting

  • Design interactive dashboards, scorecards, and self-service reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Snowflake.
  • Generate insights and reports for quality programs including HEDIS, Medicare Advantage Star Ratings, and ACO performance metrics.
  • Translate complex data findings into actionable insights for clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders; provide training on data tools and interpretation.

Strategic Insights & Advanced Analytics

  • Conduct risk stratification, patient segmentation, and predictive modeling to drive clinical and financial decision-making.
  • Evaluate provider performance and identify opportunities for cost savings, care quality improvement, and revenue optimization within value-based care arrangements.
  • Support contract strategy development through collaboration with IT, finance, and clinical operations.

Technology & Tool Implementation

  • Lead implementation and optimization of analytics platforms and business intelligence tools across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Develop scalable ETL processes and ensure seamless integration with EHRs, claims systems, and external data sources.
  • Enhance interoperability through the application of HL7, FHIR, and API standards.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Leadership

  • Serve as a liaison among clinical teams, finance, IT, and executive leadership to align analytics with organizational priorities.
  • Present findings to senior leadership, demonstrating the impact of data on quality improvement, utilization management, and patient outcomes.
  • Train providers and stakeholders on the use of analytics in care coordination and performance monitoring.
  • Drive innovation by developing out-of-the-box reporting and visualization solutions tailored to diverse stakeholder needs.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in healthcare analytics within an MSO, CIN, ACO, or primary care setting.

Technical Proficiency

  • Expert-level SQL for querying complex healthcare datasets.
  • Strong experience with Tableau, Power BI, and other BI tools.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud-based data platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Python, R, or SAS for statistical and predictive analytics (preferred).
  • Proficient in healthcare quality and risk adjustment programs (HEDIS, HCC coding, Star Ratings).
  • Experience developing and managing ETL pipelines.
  • Understanding of healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, APIs).

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in value-based care analytics, payer-provider reporting, or ACO performance tracking.
  • Knowledge of machine learning applications in healthcare analytics.
  • Familiarity with data governance best practices, HIPAA compliance, and data security protocols.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

 

The annualized anticipated base annual salary for this Healthcare Data Coordinator ranges from $65,000 to $85,000. Additionally, this position offers an opportunity for annual bonus, and other benefits.

 

Other benefits offered include a 401K retirement savings plan, paid time off (vacation/personal days, holidays, and sick time), and health benefits (medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance). 

 

Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company’s sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, skill level, years and depth of relevant experience, and education.
