Nurse Practitioner, Family Medicine

POSITION SUMMARY:

Vanova Health is supporting Cotler Family Medicine, a well-established and independently owned family medicine practice in Wall, NJ, in their search for a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join their collaborative care team. Located just two miles from the Atlantic Ocean and within convenient reach of Philadelphia and New York City, Cotler Family Medical offers an exceptional work environment that combines professional growth with quality of life. Our current team includes two physicians, and we are excited to expand with a dedicated Nurse Practitioner who shares our commitment to quality care.

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) will provide direct patient care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, focusing on preventive health, annual physical exams, Medicare Annual Wellness Visits, and problem-focused visits. It offers a competitive salary of $115,000-$140,000 based on experience. Responsibilities include performing physical exams, documenting in our EMR (Athena), ordering and reviewing diagnostic studies, prescribing medications, and coordinating specialty referrals. The role also includes cross-coverage for providers during scheduled vacations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (included but not limited to):

• Deliver comprehensive primary care services, including preventive screenings and chronic disease management.
• Perform physical exams and diagnostic procedures.
• Document patient encounters accurately in Athena EMR.
• Order, review, and interpret laboratory and imaging studies.
• Prescribe medications and interventions as appropriate.
• Provide cross-coverage for other providers during scheduled absences.
• Other duties as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid New Jersey medical license.
• Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• Proficiency in Athena or similar EHR.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Inpatient experience under physician supervision is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Outpatient clinical setting with direct patient interaction.
• Occasional travel for inpatient opportunities if desired.
