Overview

The Director of Business Development will play a pivotal role in advancing our strategic growth initiatives.  This individual will lead efforts to expand our clinically integrated network (CIN), develop relationships with specialists and ancillary services and enhance our practice support offerings.  The role requires a dynamic, relationship-oriented professional with a strong understanding of the healthcare landscape in New Jersey. 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (included but not limited to):

  • Lead business development initiatives to support Vanova Health's growth and sustainability.
  • Identify and recruit new PCP physician practices to join the Vanova Health Partners' CIN, guiding through outreach, engagement, and onboarding in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Foster relationships with specialists and ancillary providers devoted to continuous quality improvement while reducing the cost of healthcare in New Jersey.
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships and onboarding providers who align with our value-based care mission.
  • Represent Vanova Health at conferences, physician networking events and meetings.
  • Research and execute on opportunities that drive awareness, build relationships, and expand Vanova Health's value proposition for participating providers.
  • Work with outside marketing agencies to develop campaigns that promote our CIN, practice support solution offerings and strategic vision.
  • Contribute to Vanova Health's broader growth strategy, including market analysis, competitor insights and service line development.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for mergers, acquisitions or joint ventures.
  • Regularly track and report on business development activity, ongoing metrics, progress, and key performance indicators to inform leadership decision-making.
  • Partner closely with internal teams and external marketing agencies to align business development strategies with marketing campaigns, messaging, and outreach efforts.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 8+ years of experience in business development and/or sales (e.g., pharmaceutical or device); Director-level readiness required
  • Deep understanding of the New Jersey healthcare market
  • Experience with independent physician groups, CIN, ACO, and value-based care models highly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to build trust with physicians and stakeholders
  • Strong project management, strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization
  • High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Office setting, with extended periods of sitting and computer work
  • Travel required as needed

  • The anticipated base annual salary for this role ranges from $160,000 to $200,000.
  • This position offers an opportunity for annual target bonus based on individual performance and company financial performance.
  • Comprehensive benefits based on eligibility include a 401K retirement savings plan with company match, paid time off, and health benefits (medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance).
  • Please note that individual total compensation for this position will be determined at the Company’s sole discretion and may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, skill level, years and depth of relevant experience, and education.
